Our Story

It all began in 1995. Our founder’s mother would often bring home a pack of gummies from the airport — a rare treat that always sparked excitement. But there was one lingering question: were they really halal? 

 

What should have been a simple childhood joy often turned into uncertainty. That moment revealed a bigger challenge — how difficult it was to find halal gummies in Malaysia. And from that realization, a seed of an idea was planted: everyone deserves to enjoy sweets with peace of mind. 


One day, during a visit to a theme park in Malaysia in 2012, our founder came across a unique halal-certified gummy. Curious and hopeful, he traced the product back to its distributor in Singapore. After meetings, visits, and even signing an NDA, the dream of bringing halal confectionery closer to home started to take shape. 

 

 

By 2013, that dream became reality. With a clear vision to fill the gap in the halal candy market, Sweetsbox was born. Our mission was simple yet powerful — to create a delightful world of halal-certified gummies, candies, and confectionery that bring joy to every occasion. 

Over the years, Sweetsbox has grown from a passion project into a trusted brand across Malaysia and Singapore. With more than a decade of experience, we’ve: 

  • Built lasting partnerships with B2B clients 

  • Served thousands of B2C customers through our e-commerce stores 

  • Crafted corporate gifting packages that add sweetness to milestones and celebrations 

 

In 2022, we took a bold step by opening our first flagship store at Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya — a vibrant hub where customers could immerse themselves in the Sweetsbox experience. The following year, in 2023, we expanded further with a kiosk at Aeon Permas Jaya, bringing our treats closer to even more families.
